I love yoga. I love the challenge of quieting my mind and turning my
focus inward–the meditative aspect of yoga. I love the physical
challenge of the asanas and how great they make me feel. I love the
mental and spiritual component of the practice. This mind and body
connection continues to be a fundamental part of my practice: breathe,
move, explore.
Since I discovered yoga in 1998, yoga has been a constant in my life. I
believe yoga is a journey and I love sharing yoga with others. My
teaching is ashtanaga-based, yet accessible to many levels with
modifications offered. I want you to feel better at the end of class than
when you started and for the practice to be a union of mind and body. I
love that the benefits of yoga can ripple off our mats into our lives and
positively affect those around us.
I completed my 200-hundred hour yoga teacher training at the Yoga
Center of Minneapolis in 2002-03 in a year. I have studied with an array
of talented, inspiring teachers in Minneapolis–Monica Maxwell, Jeffrey
Bores, Lynn Thomasberg, to name a few–and attended numerous in-
depth workshops with an array of esteemed teachers, including Manju
Pattabi Jois, Rod Stryker, David Williams, and others. Most recently, I
have completed a 40-hour Immersion Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training
with David Swenson. I moved to Dallas in September 2013 and am very
excited to be a part of the Dallas yoga community.
