Sue started practicing yoga for the physical benefits, but quickly realized there was much more to it than cool arm balances. She found herself drawn to the spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga and it became something she did for herself every day. Hungry for more, she completed her 200 hour teacher training at Lotus Yoga. She continues to practice at studios across Dallas to learn and study from a variety of different teaching styles and methodologies including studying with Judith Hanson Lasater, Rod Stryker, Aaron Price, Tara Kristof, and Jennifer Hensley.
Yoga has changed her life in so many ways. She realized it doesn’t matter if you fall out of a pose or that a pose does not look a certain way, what matters is that you try to your best ability and keep going when you fall. She believes the real yoga begins off of the mat. Living and practicing this philosophy has taught her compassion; compassion for herself and compassion for others. Her teaching philosophy is to honor who you are and your body. She believes each student should adjust a pose for their body versus adjusting their body into an unnatural pose. Adjustments are what make it your authentic yoga practice. She is here as a guide on your journey.
