Low back relief
In the mid 90s, after sustaining an injury while playing basketball, I was introduced to the joys of back spasms. That was the beginning of realizing my hamstrings were tight, and my core needed strengthening.
Then a few years ago an MRI revealed that aging has blessed me with a couple of degenerative discs in my lower lumbar. Though I would try stretching exercises, I would periodically deal with lumbar pain, adversely impacting my quality of living.
Anything involving leaning over or twisting could risk spasms, playing golf, lifting weights, even something as simple as turning over in bed.
Then I met Jenny Parum.
My first time to give yoga a try was when Jenny held her grand opening of The Yoga Movement. Yoga has restored my life to me.
Not only can I not recall the last time I had a back spasm, I’m no longer feeling much pain at all in my lumbar. I can play golf for hours, I’m lifting my hex dumbbells again, and I’m dancing more than I have in years.
So step aside lumbar pain, Keith’s got too much living to do, scram, vamoose, I just ain’t got time for you any more, capisce?
