Abbie began practicing yoga shortly after moving to Dallas in 2009. She
was looking for a break from grad school research and soon realized that practicing yoga allowed her to be present and let go of her to-do lists and worries in a way she had never found before–often because she was concentrating so hard to avoid falling over
in side plank. Since then, Abbie has observed her practice as it transformed her body and mind, and her life has continually been touched by the people she has connected with through the yoga community both on and off the mat.
After practicing Power Yoga for several years, Abbie joined the Yoga Movement
and continues to explore the balance between effort and ease. She has fulfilled a longtime dream of becoming a certified yoga instructor through the Yoga Movement under her teacher Jenny Parum. She hopes that after practicing with her, her students will leave
with the energy to face whatever the day brings and the peace to smile through all of it.
