Aaron began practicing yoga in 2006 and has studied yoga with a focus on yoga therapy with his teacher, Rod Stryker, since 2007. He has studied Vajrayana Buddhist meditation with many notable Tibetan teachers, including Lama Dudjom Dorjee Rinpoche, with whom he co-wrote two books on Buddhist philosophy and meditation. He holds a BA in Oral Communications Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Aaron is the Program Director for The LifeWorks Institute for Psychotherapeutic Yoga, where he teaches yoga teachers and psychotherapists to be yoga therapists, while continuing to work as a yoga therapist himself. “I believe that a person’s energy can be balanced, heightened, and refined by carefully guided use of the techniques that the rich tradition of Indian yoga has to offer. By drawing on both Eastern and Western concepts, psychotherapeutic yoga can transform physical and mental health, allowing for restoration and rejuvenation, opening the door to a life of profound fulfillment and boundless joy — free from the fear that prevents so many of us from realizing our full potential in this precious life we’ve been granted.”
